About This Project
The Big River Crossing is the country's longest active rail/bicycle/pedestrian bridge, spanning a full mile across the Mississippi River. OGI Architectural supplied 124,000 sq ft of materials including walkway deck grating, security fencing, and handrail systems — all fabricated to meet transit-grade structural requirements while maintaining spectacular sightlines to the river and the Memphis skyline. The partnership with the City of Memphis delivered a landmark piece of infrastructure that doubled as a destination.
